Couvent des Cordeliers

(currenly the town's prison)

This convent was created in 1260. It was used during the Revolution to imprison the victims of the Terror period, and since then has kept this function. Its church was destroyed and only two buildings were preserved, and used today to accommodate prisoners. One finds in the room of the medieval sculptures of Saint Loup's museum some fine remains which let us imagine the past beauty of the convent...
