Church Sainte Madeleine

The oldest church of Troyes was built in 12th century and was modified in the 16th and 17th centuries. Encircled by houses and streets, it is difficult to get an overall view of it. Its square tower rises between the roofs of timbered houses and, on the street of the Madeleine, one can admire a superb Gothic gate, decorated with a genuine stone lace, which used to open onto an old cemetery.
